But, its exploding popularity however
has started to garner red flags from all across the globe, starting with the
Indian govt. officially banning the app.
Next in line to raise objection over
the platform is the US government. The US intelligence agencies are doubting
whether TikTok is a threat to national security.
It is alleged that the data held by the app can be accessed by Beijing. The Company but denies any connection with the Chinese government.
The major threat came to the app when US President Donald Trump said in a press conference that he’ll ban the application in the country. Reportedly, an alternative to complete ban can come as BiteDance giving up the ownership of the app.
The National security Check survey results will come to President Trump in coming days which will thereafter decide the fate of TikTok in the US. The ban, if imposed, will strain the relations between the two sides. Previously, the Australian govt. too banned the app owing to national security issues.
With tensions already running between the US and China over Trade and the Coronavirus, it is expected that the US will soon abid goodbye to the Chinese platform. But, until the final verdict comes from the US govt., no speculations can be called certain, even when the odds are in the favor of ban.
As there are several instances in the past times where twitter accounts of many US leaders ,including Trump himself, had been hacked, it won’t be tough to guess that TikTok too is unsafe to hacking.
On the other side, reports of TikTok
planning to sue Trump are also surfacing the internet, It will be a big blow to
TikTok to be banned in the US while it is still recovering the loss made by the
ban imposed by the Indian govt. or 59 Chinese apps including TikTok.
Will TikTok make a comeback in Indian
market?
Will TikTok observe a ban in the US
too?
Will Donald Trump be sued by TikTok for
defaming the platform?
All the answers will be out in few
days.
