Justice for Sushant movement is in no mood to stop
1. FoxStarHindi on 12th August released the official trailer of Sadak 2 on YouTube
2. The trailer video received much hatred from SSR fans
3. More than 12 million dislikes make it the 2nd most
disliked YouTube video globally.
Indian
audience has started to hit back at the nepotism wave running since ages
in the film industry. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s unfortunate death in June
has made his fans really upset and as an outcome of this upset mood of theirs,
they have started to hit hard all those who they consider guilty of Sushant’s
death.
Amidst
of all this, FoxStarHindi on 12th August released the trailer of
Mahesh Bhatt-directorial Sadak 2, the sequel to 1991 iconic film Sadak. The
film stars Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Pooja Bhatt in
pivotal roles.
As
Mahesh Bhatt has also been named among the ones allegedly responsible for SSR’s
death, his film didn’t receive any welcomes from the audience. Instead, more
than 12 million people have disliked the trailer of the film, clearly
indicating that Sushant’s fans are furious over his unexpected death. Moreover,
lead actors of the film like Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor are
also under scrutiny due to the outrage of the audience against the unjust
nepotism going on in the B-town.
A
whopping 12+ million dislikes make the trailer the 2nd most
disliked video o YouTube globally. The most disliked video is YouTube’s own
video titled ‘YouTube Rewind 2018’ with 18+ million dislikes. Sadak 2 trailer
beat Justin Bieber’s pop song video titled ‘BABY’ to become 2nd most
disliked you tube video.
Talking
about the reactions of film’s star cast about audience’s response towards the
film’s trailer, almost all the actors are upset and unhappy with the
response with the exception of lead actor Pooja Bhatt. Bhatt when asked about her reaction said that
she was happy that her film is getting publicity anyway.
Raazi
fame Alia Bhatt and Aashiqui 2 fame Aditya Roy Kapoor are collaborating the
second time for a film, the first time was for the 2019 film Kalank.
Both of them expressed gloom when asked about the hatred garnered by their
film’s trailer.
Despite
of hatred and criticism from all directions coming for the film, Sanjay
Dutt’s performance and character were lauded by both audience as well as by
critics. It doesn’t take a genius to feel that his acting in the trailer is
impressive and promises some hope for an otherwise highly criticized film.
As
the film releases on 28th August on Disney+ Hotstar, it will
be interesting to see how audience will respond to the film after their
ultra-critic response to the trailer. It is quite ironic that on the same
platform of Disney+ Hotstar, Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara also
releases in July. Sushant’s performance was lauded by audience and critics and
the film became the most viewed OTT film globally.
